Limit Breaker

An 18+ fanzine dedicated to Cloud-centric ships from Final Fantasy 7.

About our zine

Limit Breaker is a Cloud Strife centered zine celebrating all our favorite ships with him! From mainstream ships to the sweet rarepairs, Limit Breaker will feature many different pairings.
We are a for-profit fanzine for Final Fantasy 7 and will be creating a printed NSFW (18+) zine as well as a featured NSFW (18+) PDF showcasing darker/kinkier content that won't be printed.

Meet the Mod Team

Mod Jenos

Head mod

I’ve been an independent creator and self published zine artist for more than 15 years with 10 printed zines and all the joy and pain dealing with the print world can bring. As well as over 20 years of experience with art and merch development from many fandoms. My most notable zines are all from Voltron Legendary Defender (Oxygen-KL, Serva Me, Wordless, Wordless After and Nobody’s Child-SK/Multiship and Lost Boys-Keitor). This is my first time in a mod position for a zine. I will be participating in creating various graphics for the zine. See that nifty background, that was me! I’m cool I swear!

Mod Kukkii

Formatting and Shipping

I'm a full time freelance illustrator and hobby writer, with plenty experience as a zine contributor for both art and merch (Akairyuu, Debauched Deku, Scarred Phoenix, Zappy Cat, Quirked Connections, Symbiosis), this is however my first time being in a mod position. I'm in charge of graphics/formatting and production all of which I have personal experience with already (Diploma in graphics design and production of plenty custom merch) so even though I haven't modded a zine before I'm not completely like a fish out of water.

Mod Emi

Finances and social media

I’ve been a zine mod for two finished BNHA zines; Akairyuu (head/social media mod) and Dynamic (art/general mod), both of which were 18+, as well as a KNY zine, The InoTan Zine as an art mod. I have also participated in many fanzines as well, both as a writer and an artist! I myself am a professional freelance artist who enjoys doing erotica art, but specializes in character design and fanart. I’ll be handling the finances and some social media for this zine, and it will be my first time being a finance mod, but I have been in charge of finances for retail jobs I’ve held before IRL and understand how to manage money/payroll and ordering bulk products.

FAQ

  • Q: is this for charity or to get the contributors paid ?

  • A: This zine is for-profit and contributors will receive a cut of the profits as well as a bundle of their own.

  • Q: Why is the zine called “Limit Bowl”? Where does the “bowl” part come from?

  • A: The name comes from a combination of "limit break" and "heart breaker"! The bowl part is a shipping term meaning that it's essentially "all ship". Any ship you can think of that involves Cloud can be featured in the zine, therefore, it's a cloudbowl.

  • Q: Will you allow collaborations?

  • A: We will allow contributors to collaborate if they would like to! There is no obligation to do so or not to do so, however, and it's entirely up to the contributors!

  • Q: Is it okay to contribute even if I haven't played the games or don't know anything/much about FF7 aside from the basics and the characters?

  • A: Us mods would very much prefer some degree of familiarity with the FF7 franchise, either the original game or the Remake. Headcanons/fanon depictions of the characters are more than okay in the zine, as well as AU's and the like, but we feel it is important to have an understanding of the characters from an in-game, canon perspective.

  • Q: What's the zine's position on CC!Cloud being sexualized or ships like Cloud/Yuffie?

  • A: The mods have decided that ships like that are A-okay SO LONG as everyone included are depicted to be 18+. We are open to any and all ships, so long as they meet that requirement
